The random process of adoption starts with choosing a child from an adoption photo
listing.

Whether you want to adopt the child from a adoption agency or  from the social service
office, you would surely want to have a   look at the child who is going to be a part of
your family. The general way to do this is to glance through the adoption photo listing of
the area from where you would want to adopt the child.

 But this process has been discouraged throughout these years. Many people feel that if
adoption means to focus on the rearing of a child, why should the couple be given the
liberty to choose whom they want to adopt. It will prove very prejudicial to a child's well
being and development. Naturally, the more adorable and cute children will find a faster
way to get their homes while the less adorable ones will be left behind. All this might
seem like a beauty pageant to the kids which will affect its development.

These possibilities have forced the legislation to a seeming randomness to the procedure.
These days, after viewing the photo listings, the applicant couple is supposed to furnish
details to the   adoption agency ,at the same time, they have to compete with other
couples who might have chosen the same child for adoption. If the biological mother of
the child is present, she is the decider as to where  and to whom her child will be  handed
over to. Otherwise, this task lies in the hands of the adoption agency to judge the most
couple most suitable for parenthood.

 Adopting a child from an adoption photo listing is not a cake walk. The applicant couple
are supposed to submit a list of documents to the agency like, financial details ,their
psychological profile and their personal family history. The couple will be under heavy
scrutiny by the adoptive agency to make sure that they are best suited for the child's well
being. They will have to undergo a series of interviews. counseling sessions and study
programs to prepare themselves for parenthood. Even after the child ahs been handed
over to them, the couple will be under supervision for some days to make sure that the
child is in safe hands and is being taken well care of.
 
 All said and done, the couple still has a choice of adopting a child they want through the
photo listings. It is just all about the child being handed over to them or not to their good
graces.
